Abstract

IGSM (International Geodetic Students Meeting) is an international meeting of students from geodetic and similar faculties which has been held for 23 years. It all began with the Technical University students’ meeting in the Dutch city Delft which was held in order to compare programs of European geodetic faculties. About 150 students from 15 faculties and 7 countries replied to their invitation. Nowadays, the number of member countries exceeds 30 and countries outside Europe are also included. This informal students’ meeting has gained great importance over the years and its organisation has become more complicated.
