Google Earth and Map Projections

Abstract


By starting Google Earth, the screen shows Earth from a great distance, e.g. from a satellite rotating around the Earth (Fig. 1). The graticule is drawn by using the Grid function from the View menu. Google Earth is a virtual globe which can be rotated in all directions using a mouse.
