Abstract


Budapest, September 4 – 5, 2014

The 9th International Workshop on Digital Approach to Cartographic Heritage was held in the National Széchényi Library in Budapest on September 4 and 5, 2014. It was organized by the ICA Commission on Digital Technologies in Cartographic Heritage, Eötvös Loránd University and the National Széchényi Library.

The workshop featured 42 lectures, with participants from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and Great Britain. The opening ceremony started with greetings by president of the National Széchényi Library Lászlo Tüska and secretary of the International Cartographic Society and president of the Organization Committee, Prof. Lászlo Zentai. This was followed by invited lectures by Prof. Lászlo Zentai and Prof. Evangelos Livieratos.
