Abstract

In this work, reading and registering of directions in modern electronic theodolites and electronic tacheometers Leica is described, and a simple way to achieve very high accuracy by using them. Besides, it is described how a simple two-axis compensator was constructed, which occupies little space and can be ideally centrically set in vertical axis of the instrument. This is why the liquid deviates very little from its horizontal position even during a fast rotation of alidade, which is very favourable and enables high accuracy.
