Abstract


Mercator’s 500th birthday was celebrated with a scientific conference and an exhibition at the Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb. They were organized by the Croatian Cartographic Society, the State Geodetic Administration, the Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb, the Croatian Chamber of Chartered Engineers of Geodesy, the Croatian Geological Survey, the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia and the National and University Library.
